On 20^th of February, CNVP Kosovo held a consultative meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Municipality of Shtime, discussing case study for establishing Biomass Decentralized District Heating in Shtime municipality.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy informed about the financial support that the ministry is providing to improve the capacities for energy efficiency, including support from the donor community and bank sector.

CNVP presented case studies/concepts for establishing biomass decentralized district heating system based on wood biomass up to 2.5 MW in seven different municipalities, one of them being the Municipality of Shtime. In addition, CNVP through Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development (SUNREED) project, is providing support in promotion of production and use of biomass, planning and quality management for biomass central heating system.

In this meeting it was agreed that all parties involved in this process should coordinate activities and have joint actions in supporting the municipality of Shtime to prepare the final document to be submitted to the funding institutions. 

This activity was organized within the framework of the SUNREED project funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina.
