CNVP Kosovo has helped eight Associations of Private Forest Owners to establish women’s sections for the development of NTFP value chains, particularly in Kacanik, Shterpce, Junik and Gjakova. Action has focused on the collection and cultivation of medicinal plants and forest fruits, as well as the development of networking for marketing purposes, all of which offers increased employment opportunities for women and youth. CNVP Kosovo has linked the women’s groups with Agroproduct, a wholesaler of medicinal plants. The company has offered contractual terms to the women’s groups for the cultivation and collection of medicinal plants, as well as provided them with training in value chain development.
