Model projects of Sustainable future for Sharri/Korab/Koritnik in Kosovo on wave of progress

CNVP Kosovo and representatives of the model projects in Kosovo held the first meeting for this year on 10th February 2023 in Prizren to discuss the progress on implementation of the activities.

Since the start of the project, CNVP Kosovo worked closely with model projects providing support by coordinating, monitoring and ensuring the development of activities as per project planning.

During the meeting, discussions were focused on implementation of the remaining activities by project beneficiaries, improvements that need to be made by model projects and further steps were identified regarding some activities to be finalized by the end of the project, including reporting. All model projects (tourism, livestock, beekeeping and cultivation) reported the progress achieved during this period and obstacles they have faced during implementation.

Engagement of model projects for preparation of the final workshop and/or public fair by promoting the development of values in the region of Sharri/Korab/Koritnik was also discussed during this meeting. An overview and plans for the future has been presented from all the model projects. Regarding the cross-border activities, they have also emphasized the interest to organize exchange visits within the region while promoting the local products and sharing promotional materials.

All activities have been carried out and planned as per timeline and objectives of the project, resulting with increasing the income and value of local products, diversify the products on the farms and improve the life in rural areas, and prevent the migration in the region.

The project “Sustainable Future for Sharr/Korab-Koritnik”, funded by DBU, Jensen-Funds, and EURONATUR aims to support sustainable regional development, increase engagement of local people, improvement the habitats, and strengthen transboundary cooperation.
