Efforts to strengthen the sustainability of the National Association of Private Forest Owners (NAPFO) and 23 APFOs are continuing.

For the second time this year, NAPFO, all APFOs and their Women and Youth Producer Groups held a joint workshop during 10-11 June 2019 in National Park Sharri, Prevalle.

The participants reviewed NAPFO’s strategy to 2020, including its main priorities and activities, as well as achievements, best practice and challenges.

NAPFO’s Agenda 2019 was discussed and finalized as an important advocacy document. In addition, the workshop offered a framework to provide training to NAPFO and APFO members related to:

  • improving service delivery;
  • increasing membership;
  • improving networking;
  • preparing project proposals for local associations; and
  • reporting to the tax authorities.

This activity was supported by the Sida-funded project being implemented by CNVP Kosovo - Strengthening Sustainable Private and Decentralized Forestry.
