Continuing the Conversations for the Future of Bjeshket e Nemuna National Park
Today marks the third and final day of the workshop series under the project "Shaping the Future of the BJeshket e Nemuna Region (2025-2025)"
After two days of intensive discussions with the management and technical staff of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park, today’s sessions are dedicated to broader stakeholder engagement — bringing together institutions, NGOs, local actors, and partners to collaboratively shape the future of the region.
Organized by CNVP Kosovo in cooperation with the Directorate for the Administration of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park, today’s workshop focuses on the interpretation and implementation of rules and guidelines for the National Park, while strengthening cooperation and stakeholder participation in protected area management.
Today’s agenda focused on key discussions on the future development of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park:
- The first session looked at major challenges, including expert perspectives, gaps in implementing the management plan, and priority areas for future action.
- In the second session, public institutions, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders came together for a moderated dialogue to strengthen cooperation and identify practical joint solutions for the sustainable management of the park.
These discussions and strong partnerships are essential for ensuring the long-term protection and sustainable management of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park.
The project is supported by DBU (German Federal Environmental Foundation) and aims to strengthen the capacities of National Park administration while supporting the effective implementation of management plans and sustainable development practices.
