Today, CNVP Albania, together with its local partners, visited the National Tourism Fair Albania 2026 within the framework of the Integrated Forest Management (IFM) project. The visit aimed to strengthen local organizations, explore new development opportunities, and promote gender integration as an important element of sustainable social and economic growth.

The National Tourism Fair brought together tourism operators, local producers, businesses, and institutions from across Albania, creating a dynamic space for networking, learning, and exchanging ideas. During the visit, CNVP and partners carefully explored the exhibition stands, where they were introduced to a wide range of tourism initiatives, traditional products, and innovative business models. These interactions offered practical inspiration and helped identify potential opportunities for cooperation, market access and future business development.

For CNVP Albania and its partners, the fair served as a valuable platform to understand current trends in the tourism sector and how local communities can better connect their products and services with tourism value chains. The experience provided concrete examples of how rural areas can benefit from tourism by promoting local resources, supporting small enterprises and creating new income opportunities.

A key focus of the visit was the strong participation of women across many of the exhibition stands. Women entrepreneurs, artisans, and business owners played a visible role in presenting products and services, demonstrating their growing contribution to Albania’s tourism industry. This participation highlighted the importance of women’s involvement in economic activities and their potential to lead change within their communities.

Through the IFM project, CNVP Albania actively works to empower women by supporting its partners to integrate gender perspectives into local development initiatives. By creating access to information, networks, and learning opportunities such as this fair, CNVP helps strengthen women’s leadership and encourages their engagement in both social and economic life.

The visit reinforced CNVP’s commitment to inclusive development, where women are recognized not only as beneficiaries but also as key actors in building resilient local economies. Experiences gained from the National Tourism Fair Albania 2026 will support partners in developing new ideas, strengthening community initiatives, and promoting women-led actions that contribute to sustainable and balanced development.

This project is funded by International Partnerships Austria, initiated by ICEP – Association for Global Development and implemented by CNVP Foundation.
