We are excited to share that, as part of the partnership between CNVP Kosovo, NPL Higjiena, and the Municipality of Deçan, work has started on the installation of a modern wood-biomass (woodchip) heating system in Deçan!

This sustainable system will serve as a model for heating public buildings responsibly, using local forest resources efficiently. With over 16,700 hectares of forest, Deçan has strong potential to turn forestry residues into clean, cost-effective energy.

A concrete step toward a greener and more energy-efficient Deçan for the community.

The initiative is part of the SUNREED project, implemented by CNVP Kosovo and funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Prishtina (Sida).
