Connecting, Communicating and Leading with the Rural Women Entrepreneurs Network

20 women took part in a workshop with the Rural Women Entrepreneurs Network on the topics of communication, environment, and sustainable development of the MAPs and NWFPs sectors. These women are farmers and owners of agri-businesses in the villages of Kaqanik, Ferizaj and Lipjan.
Rural women play a large role in society, cultivating the land, raising families, and contributing to local economies. As part of its ongoing efforts to promote gender equality and inclusive rural development, CNVP Kosovo has supported the creation of the Rural Women Entrepreneurs Network in. It is initiative to strengthen the voices of rural women and support their economic and social empowerment. This growing network serves as a unified platform for rural women to connect, advocate, and lead change within their communities.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive discussions on different types of communication, the tools and channels available, and how to apply effective communication strategies in their businesses. The role of social media in modern communication was highlighted as a key element for growth and visibility.
An important part of the workshop focused on climate change and its growing impact on both the MAPs and NWFPs sectors and organic agriculture, which created an opportunity for thoughtful discussion and the exchange of knowledge.
The workshop concluded with an open discussion on the results achieved so far through collaboration in these sectors and the new opportunities for partnerships moving forward.
This workshop, organized by CNVP Kosovo through its SUNREED project, supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina, provided practical tools and knowledge, and also reinforced the value of empowering rural women as active contributors to the local rural economy and our environment.
