CNVP Foundation Joins European Biomass PowerON Conference

The CNVP Foundation participated in the 7th European Biomass PowerON Conference, held on 8–9 October 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The conference gathered leading experts and stakeholders from across Europe including biomass suppliers, technology providers, energy companies, project representatives, and policy experts to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the biomass and bioenergy sector.
Biomass plays a key role in achieving a low-carbon future. It provides sustainable energy and materials while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. New technologies, such as bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), are opening new opportunities for cleaner, more flexible energy systems that integrate renewable sources.
The two-day programme focused on topics such as biomass for heat and power, bioenergy’s contribution to decarbonisation, and the forest industry’s response to the growing demand for wood biomass. Participants also discussed how EU policies and legislation shape the development of green solutions and the integration of biomass into a sustainable energy system.
CNVP’s Country Directors from Albania and Kosovo joined the conference to learn from successful models and best practices that can be applied in their own countries.
Through its work, the CNVP Foundation remains committed to building a greener economy in the Western Balkans by promoting sustainable forest management, renewable energy, local economic development, and EU integration.
