Empowering Women Beekeepers in the Peja Region
We’re pleased to share that new equipment for producing bee bread (pollen patties) has been installed in Doberdol, Peje, as an initiative of CNVP’s SUNREED project, supported by the EMbassy of Sweden in Pristina (Sida).
Ardita Kastrati, who has an individual bee business, has received a mixer for combining the bee bread ingredients and a rolling and packaging machine used to shape and wrap the patties.
Ardita together with a network of women beekeepers from the Women Producer Group in the Peja region have just begun using the new equipment, helping them expand their production and expected sales.
The initiative began with the successful installation of equipment for bee bread production. Next, it will support the cultivation of rapeseeds and chestnut seedlings, with activities set to continue in the coming months.
