Last week, we officially signed a new partnership agreement with Liori Pelet, a small family-run business based in Shtime that’s doing amazing work turning wood waste into clean, affordable heating pellets.

With support from the SUNREED project, this new partnership is bringing Liori Pelet and private forest owners (PFOs) into closer cooperation. PFOs will supply forest residues from silviculture activities, and Liori Pelet will use this low-quality wood - which would otherwise go to waste - to produce more and better-quality pellets.

The partnership also focuses on improving forest management by helping PFOs prepare and implement Forest Management Plans. This supports sustainable forestry, and also creates income opportunities for local families.

Liori Pelet will invest in a new production line and improve its packaging and ventilation systems, making the workplace safer for employees and the process more efficient overall.

This collaboration is important for the environment, for the local economy, and for the future of sustainable energy in Kosovo. CNVP Kosovo is proud to be part of it.
This initiative is part of the SUNREED project (Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development), implemented by CNVP Kosovo and financed by the Embassy of Sweden in Prishtina (Sida).
