The Forest and Pasture Users’ Association of Zerqan has started implementing the project “The Green Path of Zerqan: Creating Ecological Corridors and Improving Ecosystems for a Sustainable Environment.”

This project has a clear goal: to create ecological corridors that help protect nature and improve the ecosystems in the Zerqan area. These corridors will connect natural habitats with each other, making it easier for species to move freely and helping to preserve local biodiversity.

A key part of the project is better management of natural resources, to restore the ecological balance of the area. To strengthen cooperation with the community, awareness activities and trainings are also being organized, helping people better understand the importance of nature conservation and sustainable resource management.

The project not only aims to improve local ecosystems but also to protect endangered species and to create a good example of how to manage natural resources at the local level. Cooperation with local authorities and stakeholders will help make sure that the project’s results are long-lasting.

“The Green Path of Zerqan” represents an important step towards a healthier and more sustainable environment for everyone.

This activity is part of “Sustainable use of natural resources of protected areas in North Macedonia and Albania” project, funded by Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust - PONT and implemented by CNVP Foundation
