CNVP meets with the Mayor of Tetovo, Mr. Bilall Kasami

Collaboration of key stakeholders in the Shar Mountain is of particular importance for environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources.
The meeting between the CNVP Country Director for North Macedonia, Mr. Nehat Ramadani, and the Mayor of Tetovo, Mr. Bilall Kasami, reconfirmed the partnership approach for the sustainable use of natural resources, aiming to improve rural livelihoods in the villages of the Shar Mountain.
Over the past years, CNVP has managed to create a joint vision with local stakeholders for the protection of biodiversity within the Shar Mountain National Park, through sustainable development initiatives at the local level.
The focus of CNVP activities is mainly on nature-based tourism and NTFP, which is the best proof that this model is creating a very positive impact on the coexistence of villagers with nature in the beautiful Shar Mountain. The role of municipalities, public institutions, farmers, private businesses, and NGOs in the Shar Mountain is vital for the maintenance of inhabited villages and, at the same time, for ensuring environmental protection.
CNVP is implementing the project "Sustainable Use of Natural Resources in Korab-Koritnik, Shar and the Albanian" financially supported by Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust - PONT and CNVP Foundation.
