Last week, our workshop "Empowering Youth in Climate Change and Biodiversity Decision-Making," brought together 20 stakeholders mainly young people from youth groups, the University of Prizren, the National Association of Private Forest Owners and other associations of private forest owners, with the goal of empowering them to take an active role in climate change and biodiversity decision-making processes.
Participants explored:
  • The current and future activities of youth groups
  • New forms and opportunities for youth involvement in environmental development
  • Strategic and policy frameworks at the local and central levels relating to biodiversity and climate change
The interactive sessions included group work focused on identifying practical ways young people can contribute to environmental efforts in their communities.
This event emphasized that youth are key agents of change and must be involved in shaping a sustainable and resilient future.
CNVP Kosovo held the workshop within the framework of the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development (SUNREED) project, funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina (Sida).
