A second monitoring visit was held in the beech coppice forest to check the thinning works by CNVP Office in Montenegro. The purpose of this visit was to see if the final works were done well and to get advice from the consultant, Dr. Ćemal Višnjić.

Dr. Višnjić said that all the works were done in a good way. He also gave some suggestions for the next steps. One of the future plans is to do underplanting in some parts of the forest. This will help improve the forest.

During the meeting, people from the forest administration said they will give about 100 seedlings of munika (Pinus heldreichii). These seedlings will be used to make the forest more mixed and stronger.

Later, when the final data from the forest stand is ready, Dr. Višnjić will prepare a brochure. This brochure will show the main works and results from this project.

People who joined the visit were from the local forestry office in Nikšić, the main office in Pljevlja, local experts, and also people from the company who did the works.

This project is funded by Austrian Development Cooperation, initiated by ICEP and implemented by CNVP Foundation.
