In the framework of the regional project "Integrated Forest Management along the Transboundary Drin River Basin," CNVP Kosovo, together with ICEP Austria, conducted a joint field visit to see the progress of forestry activities in the municipalities of Deçan and Dragash.

The visit aimed to assess implementation on the ground and strengthen collaboration among partners and stakeholders.

The visit included the CNVP Kosovo (IFM team), the Project Manager at ICEP Austria, officials from the Kosovo Forestry Agency (Regional Coordinating Directorates in Pejë and Prizren), representatives from the Municipality of Deçan, and local forestry experts.

Field activities visited:

• Forest thinning models in chestnut– Deçan
• Afforestation side using innovative methods – Vranisht, Dragash
• Forest thinning of beech forests – Zaplluxhe, Dragash

We were able to assess ongoing progress, discuss field-based forest rehabilitation approaches, and exchange ideas on restoring degraded lands and improving forest sustainability.
