CNVP Albania supports Diber Core Group of Forestry Experts

CNVP colleagues in the Diber and Peje offices coordinated a two-day visit to Kosovo for a core group of forestry experts from Diber region who had the opportunity to share experiences in forest, pasture and wild life management with similar specialists in Kosovo.

The exchange included visits to:

  1. Rugova valley, where representatives from the local Private Forest and Pasture Association explained the challenges they face in improving forest and pasture management;
  2. Kosovo Forest Research Institute, Peja;
  3. National Forest Tree Nursery; and
  4. Blinaje hunting area, which involves the management of around 1,000 wild animals and 2,700 ha. of forests and pastures.

The event was supported through Forest for Local Economic Development, a project financed by the Swedish Embassy that is being implemented by CNVP Albania.
