To mark 21 March 2018, the International Day of Forests, CNVP Kosovo cooperated closely with the National Association of Private Forest Owners (NAPFO) to help schoolchildren plant trees in their school gardens. Three primary schools in Gjakova, Podujeva and Rahovec municipalities participated in the activity, supported through the Sida-funded project Strengthening Sustainable Private and Decentralised Forests that is being implemented by CNVP Kosovo. The main message delivered to the students and their teachers was the need to protect the forests and cooperate to make greener spaces in cities.

CNVP Kosovo is working with NAPFO, the Kosovo Forest Agency and various municipalities to raise the awareness of citizens and schoolchildren about the importance of sustainable forest and natural resource management.
