All the world is adapting to COVOD 19 situation by trying to continue some of the possible activities and stay safe at the same time.  This decease has created as well as difficulty for farmers living in rural areas dealing with Agriculture land, MAP producers, etc.

CNVP Albania continuously supports women farmers in the rural areas, as well as sustainable Medicinal & Aromatic Plant (MAP) producers in Gramsh Area (known for big fields of Lavandula) through the framework of LED project financed by the Embassy of Sweden in Albania.

On 24 of April 2020, as a COVID 19 response, the Project distributed more than 100 households basic agriculture hand working tools, protection masks, working gloves, to support and facilitate better health work environment for the women and farmers in the remote area of Gramsh, one of the poorest areas in the region and Albania. The distribution was done in close cooperation with the Municipality of Gramsh, for which they are very thankful to the programme and the Embassy of Sweden to supporting farmers in Gramsh area.  Also, CNVP is providing extension services to a number of farmers and businesses partnered under LED project.

The equipment provided will ease and protect the women so they can continue to work in their lands of Lavandula, which is one of their main income possibilities for these families.
